New Women's Soccer League

The failure of the Women's United Soccer Association has brought plans for a new women's soccer league. Instead of a new league, I propose MLS establish a women's division. All women's teams should play at the same stadia as the men's teams, with the same team names and colors. For example, Columbus Crew would be the name of two teams that play at Columbus Crew Stadium, a men's team and a women's team.

One benefit of having the two leagues as one is marketing. With the women's teams sharing pitches, names and colors with the men, promoters would not have to establish public identity of new teams. Also, new places to play would not need to be found, as the pitches the men use could also host women's games.
